This report presents the findings of a rapid assessment conducted with exporting natural stone businesses in Binh Dinh and Thanh Hoa provinces, Viet Nam. The majority of these businesses are micro, small, and medium enterprises. The report provides an overview of the challenges these businesses face in the wake of the pandemic, both economically and in terms of ensuring ethical recruitment and decent working conditions for their employees. Furthermore, the report identifies and recommends actions for Vietnamese natural stone businesses, international buyers, and other relevant stakeholders to offer meaningful support towards building a socially sustainable natural stone industry in Vietnam.
